We have been learning all about force and motion.  We did a "movement walk" to look for things all around our school that are in motion.

We did an experiment to see how different things move.  We measured the length each object traveled after we put it into motion.

We thought of movement words, stretched them out, wrote the sounds we heard in them, and then acted them out!  We practiced being in motion and being still.

One morning for morning work (what the kids do when they first arrive), we worked as groups to put together puzzles.  It was very cool to see kids using problem-solving skills to complete their puzzles!

Lily's family sent a special Friday treat- donuts!  Yum!  (Thank you!)

We did another art project on Friday!  We used cups and marbles to paint.  We predicted what kinds of lines their movements would make on our papers.  The marbles made straight lines when they were in motion, and the cups made curved lines when we moved them.

We hope you had a great weekend!
