My brother recently visited Japan on a business trip and wrote our class a letter!
We wrote him back to ask him questions about Japan and his upcoming trip to Ghana.
We performed at the monthly showcase at the end of October with the other K-1 and kindergarten classes. The kids did an excellent job and were a big hit!
Our class also received a whole class award from Ms. Allen, the music teacher! Way to go!
Congratulations to Kenia and Erick (P.E.), Simon (Dance), Joshua (math), Elijah (literacy). and German (Manatee Manners). They are our October award winners.
For Hispanic Heritage month, we learned about Frida Kahlo. We looked at many of her self-portraits and discussed what we saw, how they made us feel, and how they were different from each other.
Then the kids created their own self-portraits.
